Deck The Shelves With NBA Elves | Budweiser
Budweiser wanted to use the 2018 slate of Christmas Day NBA games (a Super Bowl sized moment for basketball) to remind people to drink responsibly. But while scare tactics have historically dominated responsible drinking marketing, they rarely resonate. We needed a fresh take. How could an older brand break through the noise? Who the hell wants to be told to drink water between beers? The answer was simple: we called a few elves on the shelf. But ours were a little taller. We casted three of the biggest young stars in the NBA and dressed them as elves on shelves. They cheered on unsuspecting fans making the right decision to stay hydrated while drinking Bud.
